Q: What is the best way to approach a Pro Wrestler before or after an event?
A: Tough question. In short, 'with respect' has to be the over arching theme. Wrestlers are often road worn, tired, hurt, and poor. For someone like myself; there's nothing more that I love more than interacting with Wrestling fans from around the World. Personally, It can be an escape or even serve as market research when considering viewer perspectives. Others might not be so friendly for some of the reasons mentioned above. Most though, are incredibly humble and thankful to be able to perform. Regardless of who you meet and where they land on the friendly spectrum - it's important to be respectful to anyone who entertains the masses for our enjoyment. It is not an easy road for most and certainly less glamorous than perceived.
Q: As a fan of Horror films; Have you seen the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre film yet?
A: I have! Truthfully, I thought that it was great! I'm not sure what the controversy of the film was. It was definitely corny at times, but only the best horror classics are. I loved the way they played off the original plot and enjoyed the overall modernization of the concept. Was it my favorite installment in the franchises history? Likely not. However, the horror fanatic in me looks forward to a repeat viewing sometime closer to the Halloween season!
Q: What was your first title (job) in Wrestling? Did you ever do any other tasks apart from competing during the live event?
A: Great question! The first ever live event that I was used as an 'on-screen' talent on was as a referee during the first year of my pro Training. It was a short lived position, as I only officiated a few matches before hanging up the stripes. I think I was paid $5 at the end of the night; which was very exciting for me at the time. Regarding multi-tasking; most talents wear multiple hats in regards to live events; at least the good ones. I have, if nothing else, attempted as many of each of these roles as possible: commentary, officiating, sound, ring crew, production, you name it. Being well verse in your field can be very beneficial when hoping to make advancements!
