Q: Do you have any idea what you want for Christmas this year?A: I do! My primary gift for myself this year is going to be the PlayStation 5. For this reason, I'll be putting some effort into getting games and accessories for the new system. Otherwise, I have a handful of knick knacks that I've added to the Official Ryan Kidd Amazon Wishlist like comic books, new, shoes, CDs, and other fun items. As always, I'll be offering my holiday gift exchange to those looking to participate and support during the holiday season!
Q: What wrestling-related hopes do you have for 2023?A: Great question. 2022 was an interesting year for me in that I achieved some of the biggest accomplishments of my career up until this point- including debuting for AAA TV & PPV, producing an international live event, and other landmark moments in spite of having what could be considered my least active year thus far. From in-ring training to weight training in the gym; I've really slipped on my fitness this past year; which is something I am not proud of. In 2023, my primary goal is to find the motivation and confidence needed to further pursue a more frequent training schedule. I think once I can manage that; the pursuit of my remaining goals for the new year can truly begin.
Q: Why do you sell Ring Worn gear? Do you make a lot of money from selling old sets?A: Good question. The short answer as to why is simply supply and demand. As long as I can remember I have been asked about my gear - how to purchase it, who designs it, who makes it, etc. Naturally, there are those serious enough in their interest to where they wish to own their very own piece of Ryan Kidd history. It really has become commonplace in my life now to sell a set after it's been used. I've sold close to a hundred sets of used gear throughout my career. The cost to produce the gear usually equals around what was earned in re-selling the piece; but it's a nice way to keep the cycle going and gives me a chance to regularly refresh my appearance. I haven't gotten rich off selling anything quite yet; but allowing fans the chance to own a part of some of their favorite moments is rewarding enough for now.
