Q: When you were in high school, how did you manage between a life as a student and a Professional Athlete? Did you have to get your parents permission?
A: It was definitely different. Once I began Wrestling, I spent my weekends at events and my weekdays at training. Immediately after school I would catch a ride to training until about 8pm. The more I became involved in wrestling and my friendships in that realm, the more I drifted from my social life in school. By Sophomore year my social circle was pretty close knit, which was fine. Friendships are a sacrifice I was and still am willing to make for my success as a Wrestler. As far as homework and studying, I don't think the wrestling really influenced my decision to not spend my time on those things. I would've avoided them regardless. I was always good (or at least decent) at tests without studying. I actually paid for my training before asking my parents permission.
Q: Boxers or Briefs?
A: I'm not too picky. Although my go-to undergarment of choice is indeed the boxer brief.
Q: How old were you when you first started training and had your first match?
A: Cool question. I initially began my training in Southern California at around age 14 and had my debut match later that year.
