Q: I know you don't wear a mask but some do. Can you offer any insight as to why some do or don't? Is it tradition; history; personal choice; or someone trying to hide something, like who they really are?
A: To be honest, it seems like a mix of all of those. It also varies based on the style of wrestling you're brought up in. Clearly, the use of a mask stems from the Lucha Libre heritage in Mexico. So most that begin training in Mexico naturally debut with a mask and those that don't are considered abnormal. Whereas typically in most other parts of the world it's the other way around and the use of a mask would be used to likely stand out or hide an identity. However, each wrestler is different so it's hard to speak in general terms.
Q: How do you feel when you are in a match with another wrestler who is a good friend of yours and one has to pin the other? Does it ever cause an issue or is it just like another day at the office?
A: That again varies in each case. For me it begins as another day in the office; but of course I understand and hope my opponents do as well that I am out for the victory no matter who you are. So, when you add the competitive nature from both opponents in each match and how high emotions run it isn't hard for it to break down and easily stir up issues. In my opinion if each opponent has true respect for one another there won't ever be an issue.
Q: Where have you not wrestled that you would like to and why?
A: Everywhere. There isn't a single place on this planet I wouldn't like to wrestle. To be a little more specific I'd love to wrestle in the Northeast United States, Western Canada, and make a return back to Mexico City in the immediate future. As I said though, there isn't a single place I wouldn't like to wrestle. Between seeing parts of the world I'd never before seen and being able to test my abilities against the best in the world; it sounds like a win no matter what I do or where I go.
