Q: When you have a match with someone do you talk to them before hand to set up a game plan for the in ring action or do you just know what to do?
A: Do I share my game plan with my opponent? Absolutely not, that sort of defeats the purpose of a game plan. In almost every match I go in with an idea of the moves I may have to use to defeat my opponent or the wear down tactics I may have to use; but I would never share that with the person I intend on utilizing said moves against. With a friend or a partner, sure; but my main goal is to win and that usually comes by catching your opponent off guard or capitalizing on a mistake. If you have a solid plan, it's much more difficult to make yourself vulnerable to such mistakes. Which are often simple, but enough that it can cost you a victory.
Q: When you win a belt, do you get to take it with you or does the promoter keep it for the shows?
A: It depends. I've seen and been apart of both instances. A majority of promoters I have noted allow the Champion to carry the belt. Although, sometimes it is needed for promotional use or something like that so it may be needed when sometimes the actual Champion is not. It all varies by promotion. In some cases, promotions share the belts between different champions for their individual promotion. In cases like that it is important to note that being the Champion is a title not necessarily meaning the holder of a belt.
Q: What goes on back stage at a wrestling event? Like are all you guys in one room getting changed and ready, talking or what goes on?
A: That again varies by event. Some larger venues have multiple locker rooms or large areas to where you get your own personal space or personal locker room. Smaller venues have one large room or sometimes just a blocked section of the venue covered by sometimes as little as sheet or tarp. Wherever it is, there is only as much interaction as you want their to be. Those that get along interact and those that don't, don't. I've been in locker rooms where you can cut the tension with a knife, some with fights having broken out, and some that feel like a room full of your closest friends. So again, it all varies.
