Hey fans welcome to Ryan Kidd Weekly newsletter #13! Huge thanks to all my fans who the blog every week by sharing on social media! Also, a big thanks to all the fans who came to Boo and Cheer me in action this weekend at two packed events in both Sonora,MX and San Diego,CA! Make sure also to catch me action this weekend as well! Q: Who have you not wrestled , who is currently wrestling on the Indy scene would you like to wrestle and why?
A: There is a handful of talent I would love to test my abilities against. At the top of the list would probably be Rey Horus because he is one of the, if not the, top overall luchadors on this side of the country. Also, I'd love to fight Jonathan Gresham who recently captured the DTU Alto Impacto championship in Mexico. His European experience is something I'd love to test myself against. As I've said before though, I'm only looking for a challenge.
Q: Are there other sports you would recommend that help with Pro Wrestling? What sports did you play and did this help?
A: Playing sports in general or having some athletic background can never hurt. Wrestling is a very strenuous sport so it always helps being in top physical shape for the sake of training and recovery. I would totally recommend amateur wrestling or some sort of grappling art. Personally I competed in Lacrosse and some Amateur Wrestling before Pro Wrestling and Jiu Jitsu following a few years in wrestling and all have made impacts on my athletic ability both inside and out of the ring.
Q: In your opinion, who are the top ten rookies on the Indy scene right now and why?
A: This question I don't feel like I can properly answer for more reason than one. It really depends on what you consider a rookie. Especially in wrestling, that phrase can get a little blurred. I still consider myself a rookie honestly but others would say it's on those in their first or second year as a wrestler. If that's the case, I don't even think I've seen 10 different guys in their first year compete enough to make any sort official list ranking them. In my opinion; Until you are signed to a contract, you are still an independent worker and in reality whether you've been in 15 minutes or 15 years, it's still considered the 'minor leagues'
