Q: What do you know or what do you think of your opponent for the SoCal Pro Anniversary Show: Danny Limelight?
A: Although I made my opinion of Limelight clear in this video HERE, I will reiterate it in written form for those reading. Limelight is brash and cocky but has shown a lot of talent in such a short time to back it up. I am confident in my ability to fly higher, hit harder, and apply craftier submissions but sometimes that doesn't get the job done. Especially against somebody with a lot to prove and no regard as to how they win, cheating or not. It will definitely be one to see. See how it plays out this weekend!
Q: Why do wrestlers tape their wrists or shave and oil up there bodies?
A: A few different reasons but it all boils down to either hygiene and/or safety. Taping is an essential part of most athletic events, especially those as injury prone as Professional Wrestling. It's used to bandage, wrap, and protect the applied area, simple as that. Shaving and Watering Down/Oiling Up is used (aside from cosmetic reasons) to clean yourself before wrestling with an opponent. It is very common in wrestling to contract fungi or infections from sweat, dirty mats, and close contact; so eliminating as much bacteria from your body not only benefits you but shows respect to the ring and your opponent as well. Not all Wrestlers use these things before matches though. It's all based on personal preference, none are required.
Q: Why did you and Eddie Randle wear matching trunks? Do tag teams do that?
A: Yes, most often tag teams that team on a consistent basis have matching gear. That was our idea at least. In every sport each team has a distinct uniform to distinguish what team they are on and I feel like (tag) team wrestling should be no different.
