Q: If a wrestler is injured in the ring and has to go to doctor or hospital who pays the bill? Are you on your own or does your regular health insurance cover it? How does that all work?
A: In independent wrestling there is no provided insurance for the wrestlers. If the individual that is injured is personally insured then like all injuries it'd be between the insurance company and the client. If not, it'd be safe to assume the bill will be made out to the individual who requires the services.
Q: Sometimes you see small wrestling promotions outside at a park or in a parking lot. How do you feel about wrestling outside? Does the sun or weather bother or help you?
A: I've wrestled likely hundreds of matches outdoors at this point. In parking lots, street corners, parades, festivals, dirt lots, you name it. When the sun is present it is almost always a bother. At times it has been pretty cold or even raining as well. I would prefer to wrestle indoors but it really isn't up to me.
Q: At events what do you do prior to the start of the event? Are you relaxing in back? Out talking to fans?
A: It depends. There are times where wrestlers including myself sell merchandise and talk and interact with the fans before,during,and after the event. If not I'm usually backstage getting dressed, stretching out, and mentally preparing for my match.
